Last week, three talented young students from Murwillumbah Primary attended the North Coast Athletics Carnival in Lismore with remarkable results. The selection process began when 13 students attended the Far North Coast Athletics Carnival. All competitors tried their best with the three sucessful athletes winning in field events.
Lucky three was the order of the day as each student came third in their indiviual events. Ryan came third in discus, Emyleigh came third in shot put and Zach came third in long jump. They are off to compete in Sydney in October at the State PSSA Athletics Carnival. We wish them every success in their training and know they will make MPS proud.
Last week, several girls and boys attended a NSW Touch Football Gala Day against other local primary schools. All students played well, had fun and enjoyed the event. The girls were also in fine form and continued on to compete the next day in a the fourth round of the PSSA Knockout competition. They competed with respect but unfortunately were not triumphant.
Well done to all students and thank you to the dedicated staff who continue to give MPS students these opportunities.
