The Murwillumbah Festival of Peforming Arts is over for another year and our school has taken yet another trophy. The Stage One choir displayed their exemplary talents to bring home the perpetual trophy after a wonderful week where MPS demonstrated to the community our strengths in the Performing Arts area.
Not only did the Infants take out the Choir trophy, they also came home with the Verse Speaking trophy. This will be displayed in our foyer alongside with the Stage Three Choir Harry Postema Memorial Trophy, next to our first place trophy from our Recorder Ensemble and various first place medals from our individual recorder players. The adjudicator, who works at a prestigious boys high school in Sydney, commented that he would like our ensemble to go to his school to show his students how to play. This is a credit to our school, our students and the coaching by Mrs Vikki Armour.
Well done to all our students who participated in the festival. We are very proud of each and every one of you.
